Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a thrilling project that used so many creative skill sets. I was in the studio with Joshua (Bergasse) from day one of the workshops - we choreographed everything from traditional, iconic Broadway musical numbers to Bavarian slap dancing, from teeny bop hip hop trios to giant squirrels being the corps de ballet with Veruca Salt as the soloist en pointe, and everything in between.

Additionally, we spent countless hours collaborating on the oompa loompa puppetry and choreography with award winning puppeteer Basil Twist.

This show was a true collaboration between all creative departments (including video content by Jeff Sugg and sound design - and effects - by Andrew Keister).

Now, in 2025/26 we have launched a Global Tour with Matt Lenz and myself at the helm, where we have honored the many years of development and work in the factory, while sprinkling in new ideas, new staging and choreography, new magic and illusions, and more!
