When Andy Blankenbuehler calls, I say “YES!” Andy and I have known each other for many years and when he started the creative process for Bandstand he invited me to come on board as his Associate.

We workshopped the show with an incredible cast at the Claire Tow Theater at Lincoln Center. The choreography featured all of Andy’s brilliant work plus a huge element of swing dancing, which is where I often get to share my expertise. 

We eventually had our out of town tryout at Paper Mill Playhouse which led to a Broadway run. While my heart was breaking to step away, unfortunately my schedule didn’t allow me to continue with the show as it debuted on Broadway, but my heart was always there in spirit.
